Terms of Use
Effective October 9, 2026. These terms govern your use of this website.
These terms govern your use of hazelriverdigital.com (the "Site"), operated by Hazel River Digital, LLC ("Hazel River Digital," "we," "us"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. What the Site is
The Site describes our services and shares articles and resources for general information. It is not an offer, and nothing on it creates a client relationship. Work for clients is performed only under a separate written agreement or statement of work signed by both parties.
2. Using the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its security, or its servers.
- Scrape, crawl, or copy the Site at a volume or in a way that burdens it, except for ordinary search-engine indexing.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
- Submit false, misleading, or unlawful content through our forms, or use them to send spam.
- Use the Site to infringe anyone's rights.
3. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, articles, graphics, logos, and design, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "Hazel River Digital" and our logo are our marks. You may view the Site and share links to it. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back. Any other use requires our written permission.
Third-party names and trademarks (such as Webflow) belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
4. Your submissions
If you send us a message or feedback, you give us permission to use it to respond to you and to improve our services. We do not claim ownership of your confidential business information. Please do not send sensitive personal data, credentials, or information you need to keep confidential through the contact form.
5. Information, not advice
Articles and other content are general information about websites, marketing, and technology. They are not legal, financial, tax, security, or other professional advice, and may not reflect the latest developments. Please get advice for your specific situation before acting.
6. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party sites and services. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. You use them at your own risk.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these terms.
10. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, and may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing, each party agrees to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other.
12. General
These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. We may assign these terms, including to a successor or affiliate, such as in a merger or sale of the business; you may not without our consent.
